TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Beacon, a company reinventing financial services for immigrants to Canada, and Wellconnect Services Inc. (WSI), a company connecting newcomers with essential services, are proud to announce a strategic partnership designed to empower immigrants when starting a new life in Canada.

“Our vision is to create an inclusive community where every newcomer has an equal opportunity to thrive”Post this

Through this collaboration, Beacon becomes Wellconnect’s key financial services partner, delivering accessible solutions that complement Wellconnect’s portfolio of services for immigrants including access to telecom, healthcare, and insurance resources – used by government agencies and settlement programs across Canada. As Canada navigates shifts in immigration policies and funding cuts to critical settlement programs, partnerships like this provide an innovative model to bridge support gaps and ensure newcomers have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed.

“Beacon and Wellconnect share a common vision of empowering immigrants, and we are thrilled to collaborate with them to provide Beacon Money alongside other critical services,” said Stuart Szabo, CEO and co-founder of Beacon. “This partnership allows Beacon to support the vital work of the 1,300 government agencies and organizations that assist tens of thousands of newcomers every year while reinforcing our commitment to building the infrastructure newcomers need to succeed in Canada.”

Immigrants in Wellconnect’s network will now have access to Beacon’s full suite of features within the My Beacon Super App, including:

  • Beacon Money: A first-of-its-kind digital wallet that allows immigrants globally to open, fund and use Beacon Money within the Beacon Super App before they arrive and for their daily payment and spending needs once they live in Canada.
  • Beacon Remit: A fully digital, end-to-end money transfer service enabling the movement of funds from multiple countries.
  • Beacon Learn: Personalized resources tailored to each immigrant’s unique journey, helping them plan their move, navigate key milestones, and access actionable guidance.

“Our vision is to create an inclusive community where every newcomer has an equal opportunity to thrive,” said Aarun Sandhu, Managing Director of Wellconnect Services. “By partnering with Beacon, we are integrating financial services with other essential resources to ensure newcomers have access to everything they need to succeed in Canada. We are excited to partner with Beacon and support the work they’ve already been doing.”

This partnership underscores Beacon and Wellconnect’s shared commitment to supporting immigrants while driving innovation and community-building. Together, they aim to create a connected ecosystem where every newcomer feels valued and supported.
