Terms & Conditions for the CanadianSim Cashback Offer
BEACON MONEY INCENTIVE TERMS
This Beacon Money Incentive Terms (“Agreement”) is between you and MyBeacon Services Inc. (“Beacon” or ”we“) and shall be considered Service-Specific Terms (as defined in Beacon’s general Terms of Use) concerning any cash-back or other similar one-time or recurring incentives provided by Beacon related to the Beacon Money digital wallet and prepaid card service (the “Program”).
This Agreement sets out the additional terms (in addition to Beacon’s general Terms of Use and the Incentive (as defined below) landing page which lay out the specific eligibility criteria required to be fulfilled to receive an Incentive under this Agreement.) by which you will be bound when you use the Program. Do not use the Program if you disagree to be bound by this Agreement. By indicating your acceptance of this Agreement, such as by clicking “I Accept” or clicking the associated check box, you agree to all the terms in this Agreement.
- Certain Amounts and Terms. The following capitalized terms shall have the meaning assigned to them below.:
“Beacon Money Account” | means the digital wallet and prepaid card facilitated by DC Bank (or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates). |
“Eligibility Action(s)” | means the specific eligibility actions for an Incentive as outlined in an online landing page, or a customized communication from Beacon to you, particularly describing such Incentive, and the eligibility criteria for receiving such an Incentive. |
“Incentive” | means a specific benefit, such as a one-time bonus payment, for fulfilling a specific Eligibility Action. |
- Incentive Payments.
- Beacon may, from time to time, run time-limited or ongoing promotional campaigns and initiatives whereby you may be eligible to receive an Incentive on an Eligibility Action. These may include, for example, Beacon giving you a one-time bonus for using a specific service provided by Beacon during a particular period, submitting a successful referral to a potential customer of Beacon, etc. You will be required to fulfill all associated Eligibility Actions to receive an Incentive.
- Please note that unless we specifically indicate otherwise to you, temporary holds, processing or transaction fees, ATM charges, insurance premiums, interest, default charges, deductions, returns, refunds, and other fees, or other transactions where we are prohibited by applicable law to provide an Incentive, don’t count towards fulfilling any Eligibility Actions. We reserve the right to make the final determination of what constitutes a successful Eligibility Action.
- Unless we specifically indicate otherwise, any Incentive will automatically be credited to your Beacon Money account(s) within 30 business days (in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) after the end of the month where the Incentive was accumulated, and in the same currency as it was collected. If you close your Beacon Money account before you receive such Incentive, you will forfeit the Incentive.
- To benefit from an Incentive, the recipient must comply with the terms and conditions applicable to the use of the related services, provided by us, or any of our partners or service providers (the “Conditions”). If the Conditions are breached, no Incentive will be payable.
- We may request evidence from you at any time to demonstrate completion of the Eligibility Actions. If you fail to promptly provide such evidence, or if such evidence is not satisfactory to Beacon, the Eligibility Actions shall be deemed not to be completed notwithstanding any other prior actions of Beacon that could have indicated otherwise, and you agree to immediately return any associated Incentive previously paid to you in full without dispute.
- We may also cancel the Incentive if we or our service providers suspect that you have committed fraud or deception against us or our service providers or have misused Beacon services. We maintain monitoring systems to detect and prevent fraudulent activity in accordance with our regulatory obligations, and may also report potentially suspicious activities to appropriate authorities as required by law. Additionally, in the event of proven fraud, we may seek to recover any wrongly paid Incentive from you.
- If required, you must inform the relevant tax authorities about any Incentives you receive. You are fully liable for any taxes or charges that may be incurred.
- We may change this Agreement or withdraw the Program or any Incentive without prior notice. You are responsible for ensuring you are up to date on changes to the Agreement. If you are unhappy with any changes to this Agreement, you can contact us, and we will terminate the Agreement and any applicable Program for you. If we withdraw any Incentive scheme, we will credit you with the amount of the Incentive due to you on the date that the scheme is withdrawn.
- All Incentives payments are subject to satisfactory completion of our identity verification procedures. We reserve the right to request additional verification documents in accordance with our regulatory obligations.
- Promotion – Canadian SIM Cashback Offer. The following additional terms (“Canadian SIM Cashback Offer Terms”) apply only to the Canadian SIM Cashback Offer (the “Offer”) and form part of this Agreement. Capitalised terms have the meanings given in the Agreement unless defined below.
- Offer Period. The Offer commences on 9 May 2025 and continues until withdrawn by Beacon.
- Eligibility. To qualify for the Offer, you must: (a) be a resident of Canada (excluding Québec) and of the age of majority in your province or territory of residence; (b) not have previously opened or held a Beacon Money Account; and (c) open a Beacon Money Account through the Beacon mobile application using a referral code that contains the string “CSIM” (the “Referral Code”).
- Eligibility Actions and Incentive. (a) First Qualifying Payment. Make your first payment of a Canadian mobile‑phone bill using your Beacon Visa Prepaid Card (each a “Qualifying Payment”). Upon successful processing, Beacon will credit $25 CAD to your Beacon Money Account. (b) Second Consecutive Qualifying Payment. Make a second consecutive monthly Qualifying Payment. Upon successful processing, Beacon will credit an additional $25 CAD to your Beacon Money Account. (c) The maximum Incentive available under the Offer is $50 CAD per eligible customer, issued in two instalments of $25 CAD each. Only the first two Qualifying Payments are eligible.
- Timing of Credit. Subject to this Agreement, each Incentive instalment will be credited to your Beacon Money Account within 30 business days after the end of the month in which the relevant Qualifying Payment is successfully processed.
- Limitations and Withdrawal. (a) Limit of one Offer per customer. (b) Beacon may suspend, modify, or terminate the Offer—or any element of it—at any time without notice. Any Incentive earned before the effective date of termination will be honoured in accordance with this Agreement. (c) If your Beacon Money Account is closed for any reason before an Incentive instalment is credited, you will forfeit that Incentive instalment.
- Fraud and Misuse. Beacon may withhold, cancel, or recover any Incentive if Beacon determines that you have breached this Agreement, provided false information, engaged in fraudulent activity, or otherwise manipulated or attempted to manipulate the Offer.
